In Zereth Mortis you will find normal treasures such as nests, caches etc that are scattered all over the zone. These treasures can be looted every day. But there are also special treasures that you can only loot once.
The difference between a normal treasure and a special treasure is following.
From normal treasures you get:
- 10-14 Crystal flux
- 70 Anima
- 3 Cyphers
From Special treasures you get
- 200 Crystal Flux
- Up to 30 Cyphers of the First Ones
- Some of them have Transmogs
- Some of them have Pocopoc dress up
- Some of them have toys.
- Some of them have schematics to craft pets.
There are 27 Special Treasures in Zereth Mortis in total that is part of the achievement Treasure of Mortis. I have divided these Special Treasures in tree parts.
Part 1 – Easy mode Treasures
These are treasures that you can get as soon as you enter Zereth Mortis and don’t need to be Venthyr, or a demon hunter, or a warlock. You don’t need to unlock traits on the Cypher Console machine to access the treasures.

Part 2 – Higher ground Treasures
These are treasures that you cannot get without having the venthyr covenant, or warlocks or demon hunter, or flying unlocked later on. You can actually get all treasures that are on higher ground with the venthyr ability, without having flying unlocked.

Part 3 – Cypher Console Treasures
These are treasures that you must unlock traits in the cypher console and with the help of it, you can access those treasures.

Drowned Broker Supplies
Crushed Supply Crate
Location: 57/64
In order to open you must:
1) Jump on top of the stone just above the supply crate and loot the repair tool kit.
2) Go talk to the Jiro Hiu Fi, located just behind you.
Give him the repair item and it will give you an item to use on the stones covering the crushed supply crate.
Mawsworn Cache
Location: 60/40
This chest is normally flooded with enemies around it. At the start of the patch, you will probably not see them since many players want to loot it and clears the area.
Fallen Vault
Location: 52/10
This one is located on the island to the north called Antecedent Isle. This is also where the world boss will be. To reach this island, you have to travel to 46.08,21.68 (see map). There is a portal there that takes you to the island and back as well.
Once there, travel to the east part of the island, see map and jump down to the side cliff until you reach the treasure. There is a teleport next to it so you can get back up.
Damaged Jiro Stash
Location: 38/37
This one is located in the north west side of Zereth Mortis in Terrace of Formation and is pretty simple. Just run the rump and follow it and jump down to the treasure.
Submerged Chest
This treasure is located in Lexical Glade 59/73.
It starts with that you pick up an orb called Dangerous orb of Power located on the south part of the water (60/77), see map.
You pick it up and run to the forgotten pump on the east side of the water, make sure you cleared the adds. Click on the pump and the treasure will come up from the water and you can loot it.
Library Vault
This treasure is located in a cave and the cave entrance is located on 59/82 (see map).
When you enter the cave you will see that you cannot interact with the treasrure that is located on the right corner of the cave. You must run to the right left of the cave and click on the black tablet, the left one of the two there. Once you have done that, you have unlocked the treasure and you can go and loot it. This treasure will always give you a Schematic: Viperid Menace.
Filched Artifact
This one is located on the southern part of the Zereth Mortis, 50/87 (see map).
It is higher up and is a jumping puzzle. You can complete this one by jumping, or by cheating using the Venthyr covenant ability and teleport. It will take sometimes to jump correct. The best tip I can give you is to aim on the right side when you see that there is a small stone blocking your passage.
Undulating Foliage
This treasure is located in a cave and the entrance is on 50/78, see map. It has several steps that you must complete before you can reach the treasure.
- Click on the Bloomthorn vine on the left side of the entrance so that you can click on the teleporting lock.
- Enter the cave by destroying more Bloomthorn vines and click the lock to open the door.
- Once inside, go to the right side of the big room, kill any mobs in the way, and look for the second teleporter lock, located behind the bushes near the left exit.
- Exit the room to enter the next room, kill mobs and then you will find the third lock under some Bloomthorn Vines.
- Enter the next room, kill mobs again and look for the fourth teleporter lock located in the center. It was bugged for me.
- Go back to the main room again and run up the ramp where the teleport is located. Click on it and u get teleported up where the treasure is.
You can either do those steps or just the covenant ability and get up directly, which I had to do since it was bugged for me.
Symphonic Vault
This treasure is located in a cave and the entrance is located on 52/63 see map.
When you enter, you will see that the treasure is locked. You have to click on objects in here in a certain combination to unlock the treasure.
The first object to click on is the one furthest in to the right.
The second one is on the opposite side on the upp hill, behind the treasure.
The third on is just next to the treasure, the one next to the pillar.
The fourth one is located on the right side of the cave entrance and the last one is on the opposite side again, near the treasure.
Once you have done that combination, the treasure is unlocked.
Template Archive
This one is located in a cave and the cave entrance is 58/44, see map.
Once you enter, head to the right side and you will see a room with balls. Click on the left ball. It will move and push the right ball away and open up the passage for you. Now you can enter that room and loot the treasure.
This treasure will always have the Adventurous Pocopoc outfit.
Offering to the First Ones
A very simple one that you will most likely see anyway, but this one is located on 36/57, see map. This treasure will always have 75 reputation bonus with the Enlightened.
Stolen Relic
This treasure is located just next to haven, 38/65.
It is another jumping puzzle. If it is to hard, then just use the Venthyr ability and teleport where you want to go.
Domination Cache
This treasure is located in an area full of elites.
This chest requires a key to unlock. You will find this key from special mobs called Mawsworn Inquisitors, and they are elite mobs around that area. Once you got the key you can open it. The drop rate is really low.
Overgrown Protofruit
This treasure is located near the entrance where Firim is. Run up behind the flight patch and jump on the orb, then jump up from there and you will reach the treasure. You can also if you want to be lazy, just use the venthyr ability and teleport there.
Bushel of Progenitor Produce
This treasure is located on the south part of Zereth Mortis, inside a door that is locked.
You need to empower yourself with 5 stacks of a buff, called Creation Catalyst Overcharge, and once you have 5 stacks, you can open that door.
You get a stack of overcharge after you will special mobs walking on the water in front of the door. These mobs are called Nascent Servitors. Kill 5 off them, but you have to be fast to kill one before the buff runs out.
You also need to be ast to reach and open the door once you have all 5 stacks.
This treasure will always have a Toy and also the Chef Pocopoc outfit.
Mistaken Ovoid
This treasure is located in a cave and the cave entrance is here (52/74).
There is a chicken in there sitting on the treasure and you must find 5 eggs to place next to it so it moves away from the treasure and sits on your eggs instead.
These eggs are very small. The best way to find them is to use the addon TomTom. Download it and then just open the normal chat and paste one of the “ways”.

You will get an arrow that shows you where to go. Once there, look for the eggs that looks like this.
The eggs will not always be there. Just go to the next location. Once you have 5 eggs, head to the cave and click on the eggs next to the chicken and it moves, and you loot the treasure.
It will always have the Schematic: Multichicken.
Syntactic Vault
This treasure is located inside the cave on the right-side island of Zereth Mortis, where the raid is located as well (41/67).
To reach the island, you have to do the main questline so that you unlock the flight path to get here. Or later on, you unlock flying and just fly here.
To unlock the treasure, you have to find 6 runes to click on. These runes are scattered around this island. When you click on a rune, you get a buff that lasts for 6 minutes which basically means that you remember the rune for 6 min, and when you click on the next rune, the debuff resets to 6 minutes again.
The first one is inside the same cave.
The second on is located just outside the cave entrance on the right side near the waterfall.
The third one is in the center on the water, next to the waterfall, just watch out for the frog.
The fourth one is located on the opposite side of where you started.
The fifth and the sixth ones are located on the upper side of the island. On the top and bottom side.
Once all are located and clicked on, head back to the cave and interact with the symobs behind the treasure and unlock the treasure.
Protomineral Extractor
This treasure is located on top of a pillar on 47/31, see map
To reach this pillar, you have to use the venthyr teleport ability (or vengeance DH/Warlock).
Pilfered Curio
This treasure is located on top of a pillar on 61/43, see map.
To reach this pillar, you have to use the venthyr teleport ability (or vengeance DH/Warlock).
Protoflora Harvester
This treasure is located on 53/71, see map.
It is actually an annoying one because it feels that it is just in reach. Use the venthyr ability here to get up there on that tree and loot the treasure.
Gnawed Valise
This treasure is located higher up on the rocks on 39/73.
Use the venthyr ability here to get up and loot the treasure.
Stolen Scroll
This treasure is on top of the cave entrance at 34.68, near Haven. Use the venthyr ability and teleport up on the left stone ramp, then just run and jump down to the treasure.
Forgotten Proto-Vault
This treasure is located high up on the mountains on the south east part of Zereth Mortis. To get there, you start on this location 64/71.
Use the venthyr ability and teleport up, piece by piece. It will take around 7 venthyr abilities to get there.
Grateful Boon
This treasure is also located high up on the mountains but on the south part of Zereth Mortis. Start on this location.
Use the venthyr ability to get to the top of the mountain. Once there you will find an open field with animals.
Click on all the animals so that they sit down.
When all animals sit down, the treasure will spawn in front of the big orb.
Architect's Reserve
This treasure is located inside a construct that is locked.
To be able to get this treasure, you have to complete a questline called Finding Tahli.
This questline is unlocked once you have unlocked the ability on the cypher console calledSopranian Understanding.
When you have completed the questline, you head back inside the the building and you can loot the treasure.
Unripened Protopear
This treasure is located inside a cave that has a locked door, 63/73.
To be able to enter, you must be on a questline that takes you in. This questline starts with the quest Mysterious Greeneryand can only be unlocked once you have unlocked the ability on the cypher console calledSopranian Understanding.
When you are inside the cave, you have find gas clouds. When you find a gas cloud, run through it and you get a buff. Go to the treasure and click on it, it will grow. Then go and find another gas cloud and do the same thing. Once you have done it 3 times, it can be opened.
Drowned Broker Supplies
This treasure is located next to Haven, 35/71.
It is under the water and the only way to open the treasure is that you have unlocked an ability on the cypher console that makes your pocopoc interact with creatures, calledDealic Understanding.
Once you have that ability unlocked, head to the water and you will see a creature that you can click on called Coreless Aurelid. Pocopoc will control it and dive under the water to reach the treasure for you.
