Pawn Stars Address in Las Vegas, NV & Shop Hours (2024)

It’s one of the biggest hits in the history of cable television, and unlike most reality shows, you are welcome (and encouraged) to visit the exact location where it is filmed.

Up to seven million people a week tune into a “Pawn Stars” episode on the History Channel, and repeats of the show run seemingly nonstop. So much so, that some people have gone to renaming it the “Pawn Stars Channel.”

Not only has the show exploded in popularity, the store has become a busy tourist attraction in its own right. Rick Harrison says that over four thousand visitors a day enter the store. Drive by the store’s Las Vegas Blvd frontage, and you’ll likely see a line of customers winding its way down the length of the store. Tour buses are also a frequent site near the store

Filming takes place at the Pawn Stars store of course, officially known as the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop.

It’s located directly on Las Vegas Boulevard, between downtown Fremont Street and the Las Vegas Strip. It’s actually 3 and ½ miles (or a ten minute drive) from resorts like the Flamingo or Caesars Palace in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, but less than a mile from the casinos on Fremont Street.

This particular area of the Las Vegas Strip has been a home to a seedier part of the city, with lots of adult theaters, and low rent motels. It’s still not an area I would recommend you walk at night. The popularity of Pawn Stars, however, has brought in the tourists, and made the area a little more pleasant and safer. I had absolutely no problem taking my wife there during daytime hours.

Originally opened by the Old Man in 1988, The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop building has undergone several expansions over the years, to the point where it is now 15,000 square feet. This sounds large, until you are inside with one of the four to five thousand customers/sightseers who visit Pawn Stars shop daily.

Pawn Stars Las Vegas Store Hours

As you always see from the show and the signage, the pawn shop is open 24 hours a day, however you can’t get inside the store 24 hours a day.

The inside of the store is open from 10 AM to 5:30 PM, seven days a week. At night, the store operates a walk-up window.

Having visited the Pawn Stars shop personally, I would suggest you get there early if you want to get inside to check out the store. Wait times of an hour or more with lines of hundreds of people are common. However my wife and I had a very short wait of less than five minutes when we arrived there just before opening.

It’s unlikely you’ll catch Rick Harrison, Corey or Chumlee working behind the counter, (“the Old Man” died in 2018), as filming is reportedly done only a few hours during weekday. Nevertheless, a visit to the Pawn Stars address is definitely a fun way to spend some time away from the casinos while on your next visit in Las Vegas.

Pawn Plaza

Opened in the fall of 2015, an addition to the Pawn Stores neighborhood is Rick Harrison’s new retail and restaurant venture called the “Pawn Plaza.”

Pawn Plaza is situated just south of the Pawn Stars address, south of the parking lot where you see many of the car negotiations take place.

The signature tenant of the 11,000 square foot plus retail and dining space is Rick himself, with his Rick’s Rollin’ Smoke BBQ & Tavern.

Another Gold and Silver Pawn Shop worker has a business: Chumlee’s Candy on the Boulevard. Other current tenants include the Highway radio station, and Elite Motor Rentals.

Past tenants included Q’rico Pollo empanada and tacos, Master Barbering Galo Shop, and Good Pie pizza.
